JUSTICE FOR OBI AMAKA!
On 3rd of August 2017, in response to the
national campaign on justice for Obi Amaka, a 14years old minor who died from
gang rape at Lagos Nigeria, Nkechi Ugochukwu the program director of Mind Miners
Initiative joined her voice to other meaningful citizens who on daily basis are
hurting because others are hurting.
The awareness campaign was geared towards raising social
consciousness on the need to allow young girls explore their potentials and feel save in the
community they belong to.
Sexual abuses are greatly increasing and actions should be
taken by government, NGOs and well-meaning individuals to ensure that girls,
women and all the vulnerable in the environment are duly protected.
Young boys should be taught about self control and self
discipline. Lack of these qualities has proven to be the major causes of sexual
abuse.
Injury to one is an injury to all.
Collectively, we will build an environment of our desire.
