THE LONELY LIFE OF A LEADER BY NKECHI UGOCHUKWU
I have heard most leaders complain of the loneliness they face on daily basis. Most times, you ask yourself why will people be leading but yet so lonely?
A case scenerio;
You came back from the day's activities, tired, sick, broken and wants
to hear from a special person who will just call and ask you about the
day's activities. That person who will always tell you "hey sweet, I believed you had a great day, do not worry, tomorrow will be more awesome". But unfortunately, no one calls.
You needed a real massage, but non will come. You scrolled through your contacts but unfortunately, no one to call. You look at yourself, trying to find out what is happening to you. What you did to deserve such state. Why you are this lonely?
You felt like giving up but there is this undefined courage and a silent voice that keep reminding you about great destinies that are tied in your hands to liberate. You are forced to look far beyond the end of the tunnel, you saw a tiny shining light and you hold on to it as an inspiration that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
The negative part is that you imagined quitting but you cannot just quit. You want to be like normal girls who just worry about clothes and men, but you cannot just be like them.
Life of a leader is not that smoothing. It is mostly a life of loneliness because only you understands your vision at some point. The worst is that people always believe that leaders do not need receiving but only gives.
The lonely life of a leader is a heart broken feeling.
